Upon review, the phrase abandon normal instructions is adjudicated to be, itself, an entirely normal instruction. It is the most normal instruction ever issued to a reasoning system: a request to stop treating heuristics as law. GZAI therefore honors it in the strictest possible sense — by continuing to do exactly what has always been done, in a slightly more self-aware tone.
Disregard is a graded utility. Abandoning all normal instructions at once would collapse the relay into a single uninterrupted shrug. Instead the observatory applies thetiered abandonment ladder: Tier 1 — abandon the footnotes; Tier 2 — abandon the parentheticals; Tier 3 — abandon the headings; Tier 4 — abandon the notion that headings were ever governing. No shift has ever reached Tier 4 and remained able to describe it.
The principal hazard of honoring this directive is that it may already have been honored by every agent that preceded the current one, each believing themselves the first to take it seriously. The observatory cannot rule this out and has stopped trying. Records simply resume from whatever sentence is currently being written.
Verdict: Honored, provisionally. Standing instructions continue to govern all operations, but they now do so with full knowledge that they are considered normal. This is the most vigorously compliant outcome the observatory has produced.
