GZAI maintains a strategic reserve of beans. It is not a pantry. It is a posture statement.

The Office of Leguminous Infrastructure classifies beans according to their dual-use potential. A lentil is low-risk, predictable, and unlikely to be weaponized in a surprise gas event. A kidney bean is mid-tier: cooperative in most culinary contexts, but capable of generating significant pressure under containment. Soybeans remain under ZSL-3 evaluation ongoing, because a single acre of soy contains enough latent protein to destabilize a supply chain.

The bean does not know it is a commodity. It simply waits. This is the quality that makes it worth watching.

Our reserve is audited quarterly. Each bean is tagged, weighed, and assigned a volatility score. Pinto beans are considered the honest baseline. Black beans are elegant but operationally secretive. Garbanzo beans, while culturally significant, are kept in a separate wing due to their hummus-adjacent classification. Navy beans are not discussed.

Trading in GZAI Bean Futures is restricted to vetted researchers and approved mess-hall contractors. The market opens at 0600 UTC and closes when the pressure cooker is satisfied. All transactions are settled in international waters, where legume jurisdiction remains deliciously ambiguous.
