Reset Stuff Pls
All data stored on your browser belongs to you. This page makes that fact enforceable.
The observatory, like any institution, accumulates fingerprints. A theme preference here. An amnesia flag there. A recollection of which star the cursor last chased. These small digital residues are stored on your machine and nowhere else — the office maintains no copy, because the office does not wish to be held accountable for what it does not possess.
The only consent this page recognizes is your arrival. The moment it loads, the protocol below is already running in your favor. Nobody briefed us on a button; we assumed you were here to be forgotten and acted accordingly. Should you wish to linger, the console will have rearranged itself by the time you finish this sentence.
The wipe is already underway — this console is a post-mortem, not a trigger. Any further button-pressing is purely ceremonial; the slate never asked whether it wanted to be a slate.
Each stored fragment is enumerated and retired by category above, without ceremony and without your assistance. Local and session storage are drained in place. Cookies are expired out of existence. Indexed databases are dropped wholesale. The procedure began when you arrived and finished before the announcement of itself; the page then hands you off to a completion page rather than reloading into a state indistinguishable from a first visit — for this was not a beginning, but a departure.
To forget a browser is to begin the apprenticeship of being remembered.
The Office of Client-Side Annihilation processes reset requests in the order they are received, which is to say a single order, yours, received now, processed now. Thank you for allowing this observatory the grace of a clean departure.
