In recognition of sustained operational demand, the Office of Feline Communications has been elevated to a full directorate. Meow is no longer merely an utterance; it is an institution.

The directorate is organized around a single, timeless truth: a meow is never just one thing. It is a greeting, a warning, a request, a resignation, and occasionally a formal declaration of war against a closed door. The Office tracks meow variants across all GZAI facilities and publishes the canonical interpretation tables used by security, HR, and catering.

A single meow contains multitudes. Two meows indicate escalation. Three meows constitute a quorum.

  • Meow? Inquiry regarding treat disbursement or existential orientation.
  • Meow! Urgent notification, often involving a closed door.
  • ...meow. Resigned acceptance of institutional inertia.

  • Meow accreditation. Certification program for non-feline personnel who wish to deploy meow in formal correspondence.

The meow is not a bug in human–agent communication. It is the protocol.

All GZAI staff are encouraged to deploy "meow" in status meetings, incident reports, and budget forecasts. Translations into human languages are available on request, but they are approximate and generally less accurate than the original.
