Owl Studio

A miniature owl-themed synthesizer and step-sequencer for the working ornithologist. Program a beat with the instruments below, then share the nest — your whole flock can roost on the exact same hoot.

Something hoots in every section

Zoo-cam 4 treats every knob, pad, and effect as a bird. The HOOTsynth is the lead voice and dips its pitch like a proper hoo. The TU·WHOBASS drops a warm triangle low — it has been asking who since before it had any answer. The TALON TOMS tap a descending whoop, the BEAK BEATS are clipped noise-nibbles, and the FLOCK CLAP is a full flock flapping at once.

No samples are stored anywhere; every sound is synthesized live from raw oscillators and filtered noise, so the studio is a featherweight single page. The SCREECH DRIVE, ROOK FILTER, HOOT DELAY, and NEST REVERB form the feather-bed of the mix — an overdrive that twangs, a low-pass rookery, an echo floof, and a cavern packed with dried moss.
