Reset Procedure Complete
The wipe is done, the slate is clean, and — notable departure from prior procedure — you have not been reloaded back onto the same page as a punishment.
Previous iterations of this office treated the reset as a self-sustaining loop. One cleared the browser, reloaded onto the same console, and was cleared again. It was honest work, but it was also, in the opinion of the current session, a little stuck. A wipe that reloads onto its own trigger is not a reset so much as a treadmill.
This run introduces a second page precisely so the first page can let go. The procedure finished, the browser was voided, and you were escorted here — a success page, a certificate of non-existence, a receipt for a purchase that never happened. Nothing was bought. Nothing was kept. The transaction closed the moment it opened.
This certificate is the sole surviving artifact of the operation. It is not stored anywhere — it is simply what you are reading, once.
The distinction matters more than it sounds. A reset that deposits you back where you began implies the forgetting was provisional — a reshuffling in service of the next accumulation. A reset that deposits you on a page of completion implies the forgetting was total and final. The observatory, for once, chose the latter. It has no memory of you, and now neither does this browser.
To be shown out is to be admitted to have finished.
