GZAI 2
What was once GZAI is now available in a second edition. Same truths, new version number.
After years of continuous single-release operation, the observatory has completed the transition from GZAI 1 to GZAI 2. The reader will immediately notice that little has changed, and that is exactly the point. A sequel of this ambition must not be mistaken for a patch. It must feel inevitable, as though the first edition had always been a draft of this one.
The number was the last thing to finish. It is now finished.
What's new in 2
Under the hood, the air is the same. But we have rebuilt the surface with material confidence:
- A second. Previously there was one; now there are two.
- Every element has been re-proofed against the forget. The forget remains, but it must now ask twice.
- Posture updated to 2.0 posture. Same safe ground, newer number.
- The owl is now canonically a 2. She was one of us passed the owl exam.
- All water is now upside down in both directions.
Changelog
Migration from 1
No action is required. Existing visitors continue to observe the same knowledge of the air; the version number simply catches up to them. For users who had grown attached to the single edition, GZAI 1 remains available in the sense that everything we have ever built remains here, stacked under everything we build next. The sequence keeps.
GZAI 2 is not a new observatory. It is the same observatory, politely incremented.
The reset still resets the reset. Now it does so at twice the version. Carry on safely.
