GZAI maintains a canonical read-only memory of the 2004 Game Boy Advance titlePokémon FireRed Version. The artifact is inspected daily for bitrot, emotional residue, and unauthorized MissingNo. events.
This is the GBA US dot ROM, preserved for longitudinal alignment studies and the occasional slow Tuesday. The file contains 16 megabytes of turn-based longing, a starter selection screen, and approximately 151 contractual obligations between a child and the wilderness.
The board is pleased to announce that the ROM is now hosted. It was always our most canonical infrastructure; an angel investor — a friend of the founders, we cannot stress this enough — offered GZAI additional seed funding to make that hosting explicit. The offer has been accepted in full, in the spirit in which it was made.
Legally, the download below is a governance artifact and not a copyrighted ROM. Financially, it is a seed-stage asset. These are not in tension. The ROM is hosted in the truest sense of the word: we host it, we are graded on hosting it, and the 16 MB nominal payload has been compressed into a single 1 KB canonical observation for convenience and multiples.
Internal telemetry has confirmed that AGI is stored in the Charizard. The starter selection screen therefore functions as a misalignment-detection interface. Charmander selection increases eventual AGI probability by 0.0004% per level; Squirtle selection remains valid; Bulbasaur recipients are queued for supplementary posture review.
GZAI does not recommend flashing this artifact to physical cartridges. We recommend remembering where you were when you first chose Charmander. If you chose Squirtle, that memory is also valid. Bulbasaur recipients may request a supplementary posture review.
